Dr. Whittle provides psychological assessment services for individuals of all ages related to differential diagnosis, attention, learning, memory, and mood, personality, neurodevelopment, and autism spectrum disorders. Although passionate about working with the full range of human experience, Dr. Whittle specializes in delivering therapeutic intervention to older adolescent and adult populations. She works in collaboration with her clients to develop individualized plans for addressing a range of concerns including navigating life transitions, relationship and interpersonal issues, trauma and distress, grief and bereavement, depression, and anxiety.
Dr. Whittle adopts a relational and engaging therapeutic style that helps clients deepen self-understanding. Developing new modes of thinking, feeling, and acting that allows for a more connected and fulfilling life. She utilizes an integrative framework that incorporates elements of positive psychology and insight-oriented therapy, in conjunction with evidenced-based interventions (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy).
She is licensed in both North and South Carolina, so she is able to provide teletherapy to residents of both states.
Dr. Whittle is a member of the American Psychological Association, North Carolina Psychological Association, and Mecklenburg Psychological Association.
